In 1986, armed with a bold idea and an uncanny talent for connecting with people, Founder and CEO Lynn Matson took a leap of faith that would transform the AV industry. What started as a chance moment—helping a client at a Dallas modeling agency find a TV/VCR combo—grew into a pioneering venture that redefined how brands engage with their customers.


Lynn’s journey started with Business Television Video Systems, born from necessity and nurtured by her understanding that technology should enhance, not overshadow, the human element. “I had no funding, no bank backing at all,” Lynn reflects. Yet what she lacked in capital, she made up for with vision, determination, and unshakeable commitment to her clients and team.

By 2005, the company evolved into Pro-Motion Technology Group, a name that perfectly captured her philosophy of technology in motion, creating experiences that move people both literally and emotionally.

Today, PTG is more than a technology company, it has become a catalyst for moments that matter. We serve blue-chip clients including Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft, American Eagle, and Sweetgreen, among many others. But Lynn’s proudest achievement is the perfect triangle – her steadfast belief that if she takes care of her team, her team will take care of their clients, and their clients have always taken care of PTG.

Lynn didn’t just adapt to the digital revolution; she helped define it. Her groundbreaking “Ambience Marketing” concept revolutionized the retail customer experience, understanding that true engagement speaks to all the senses. People are fast, but the right experience can slow them down. This philosophy led to her book “See It, Hear It, Experience It, Buy It,” capturing her approach to multi-sensory experiences that don’t just inform customers – they inspire them. When shoppers and guests aren’t engaged, they don’t become customers. Lynn understood this long before it became industry wisdom.

As PTG nears its 40-year anniversary, Lynn’s created a business that continues to break barriers, develop the next generation of professional talent, and evoke breathtaking in-store experiences.
